Year 2023 has been one of the biggest year for the Indian cinema. Starting from January, the year has served some of the biggest movies in it's cinematic history. From Pathaan to Sam Bahadur, the filmmakers have left no chunks in creating magnum opuses that screamed extravagant affair, be it the story, actors, editing or cinematography. As cinema is said to be a director's way of reaching a signifying niche of audience, every director has shown their prolific directorial all throughout the year 2023, but some of the many has left an impeccable mark on the audiences. So as the year is coming to an end, let's revisit the catalogue listing around 10 Bollywood directors that were successful in bringing  a deep impact onto the masses. 

Siddharth Anand's 'Pathaan' - Bollywood acing filmmaker Siddharth Anand has bought Shah Rukh on the silver screens after five freaking years. But it was worth the wait! Meanwhile Pathaan is the year's first action thriller that broke massive records which palleted Deepika Padukone and John Abraham alongside Badshah Shah Rukh Khan. With some crazy action sequences, the movie has garnered Rs. 1050.80 crore all over the world. 

Sujoy Ghosh's 'Jaane Jaan' - Sujoy Ghosh is known  for suspense and his impeccable thrills in his movies. Jaane Jaan was one of his best known projects that was released this year starring Kareena Kapoor Khan, Vijay Varma and Jaideep Ahlawat.

Anil Sharma's 'Gadar 2' - Anil Sharma rekindled his age old storyline of Gadar released in 2001. He has continued one his finest prject from the past and bought Gadar 2 starring Sunny Deol and Ameesha Patel. The movie went onto becoming one of the year's biggest blockbuster. 

Karan Johar's 'Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani' - Bollywood's godfather KJo is known for his refined taste in rom-coms and intense dramas and he has proved his cinematic dimension yet again. 'Rocky Aur rani Kii Prem Kahaani' is one of the most beautiful modern day rom-com drama that went onto becoming an extremely relatable movie among the Gen-Z generation.

Atlee's 'Jawan' - 'Jawan' was a September release action thriller starring Shah Rukh Khan, Nayantara and Vijay Sethupathi. The storyline and action sequences paved a new beginning to Bollywood's acing prowess in the cinematic making. The film also became the highest grossing movie of Shah Rukh Khan that scored a whopping amount of Rs. 1141.5 crore worldwide. 

Amit Rai's 'OMG 2' - Amit Rai has proved his unique touch in the satirical drama 'OMG 2' which dealt largely with the of inclusivity of broader studies like sex education in the schools. The movie starred Akshay Kumar, Pankaj Tripathi and Yami Gautam. 

Sandeep Reddy Vanga's 'Animal' - Animal is currently ruling the Bollywood box office. Vanga who is known for his rogue dramas like Kabir Singh and Arjun Reddy has bough an another whopping ensemble starring Ranbir Kapoor. The movie with crooked tale of a father-son duo stole hearts all around the globe and it also stars, Rashmika Mandanna, Anil Kapoor and Bobby Deol in the leading roles. 

R Balki's 'Ghoomer' - Ghoomer is the year's one of the most acclaimed movie. Starring Abhishek Bachchan and Saiyami Kher, it is an intriguing sports drama that revolves around a prolific woman bowler who looses her arm in an accident, but fights back and returns to the field by going through some intense training under a coach. 

Vidhu Vinod Chopra's '12th fail' - Vidhu Vinod Chopra is known of his freestyle versatility who aces every project he touch. '12th Fail' is a beautiful drama starring Vikrant Massey that revolves around a struggler and passionate dreamer and his journey of cracking the world's toughest exam. UPSC. The film feels like a homage hug to all the million candidates who fights to win in the exam every season. 

Meghna Gulzar's 'Sam Bahadur' -  The year's biggest biographical drama 'Sam Bahadur has won everyone's heart. Directed by Meghna Gulzar, the movie stars Vicky Kaushal that showcases the story of Sam Manekshaw, India's first on-field marshal.
