Remembering Sushant Singh Rajput on His Fourth Death Anniversary
On the fourth anniversary of Sushant Singh Rajput's death, family, friends, and co-stars fondly remembered the talented actor. Known for his powerful performances, Sushant left a lasting impression on audiences, though his full potential was only widely recognized after his tragic passing.
To honor his memory, Sushant’s sister, Shweta Singh Kirti, shared a heartfelt message and videos on Instagram. One video showed Sushant enjoying time with his sisters, while the other was from his prayer meet.
In her emotional note, Shweta expressed her ongoing grief and frustration. She wrote, "Bhai, it has been 4 years since you left us, and we still don’t know what transpired on June 14, 2020. Your death remains a mystery." She continued, "I feel helpless and have pleaded with the authorities countless times for the truth. I’m losing my patience and feel like giving up. But today, for one last time, I want to ask everyone who can help with the case to put your hand on your heart and ask yourself: don’t we deserve to know what happened to our brother Sushant? Why has it become a political agenda? Why can’t it be as straightforward as stating what was found that day and what is believed to have happened?"
Sushant's last Instagram post, dated June 3, 2020, was a tribute to his mother, who passed away in 2002. He shared a collage of himself and his mother, along with a touching poem:
"Blurred past evaporating from teardrops Unending dreams carving an arc of smile And a fleeting life, negotiating between the two...Maa"
In her plea, Shweta reiterated her call for justice, urging everyone who can assist in uncovering the truth to do so. She wrote, "PLEASE, I am requesting and pleading—help us move forward as a family. Give us the closure we deserve. #sushantsinghrajput #justiceforsushantsinghrajput #4yearsofinjusticetosushant."
Sushant Singh Rajput was found dead in his Mumbai apartment on June 14, 2020, at the age of 34. The Mumbai Police initially ruled his death as a suicide, confirming asphyxia due to hanging in the postmortem report. However, the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) continues to investigate the case, seeking answers to the unresolved questions surrounding his death.
