Kalki 2898 AD update: Vijay Deverakonda's special cameo as Arjuna win's heart
Year's one of the most anticipated films is finally here. Nag Ashwin's directorial, Kalki 2898 ADS is currently oozing and whacking the moviegoers all throughout the globe. Starring Deepika Padukone, Amitabh Bachchan, and Prabhas, the film has in fact amassed a whopping start at the Indian box office as it closed its advance in Hindi selling 1.25 lakh tickets in top national chains and is expected to cross Rs. 100 crores within first four days of its release commercially.
Today, as the bated film has finally hit the theatre screens, fans can be seen standing in queues outside the theatres to witness the most awaited Prabhas starrer dystopian film, Kalki 2898 AD. Being the grandest film of Bollywood, the makers have truly pulled off some of the biggest stars of the Indian frontline. But what has struck me even more than its leading actor was the special cameo appearance of actor Vijay Deverakonda. Yes, you heard it correctly! Vijay made a small appearance in the film but was able to pull off the character with his well-known finesse-worthy caliber. For the unversed, he played the maneuvering character of Arjuna. The Dear Cmrade actor seems to left an impeccable mark on the film with his short appearance and people could be seen lauding the theatres as he appeared for a short while.

Kalki 2898 AD is a 2024 Indian epic science-fiction dystopian film, co-written and directed by Nag Ashwin. Led by a stellar cast ensemble that has roped off Prabhas, Deepika Padukone, Dalquer Salmaan, Kamal Haasan, and Disha Patani in pivotal roles alongside Amitabh Bachchan. Produced by C. Aswani Dutt, the film is distributed under AA Films and it is made with a whopping budget of Rs. 600 crores. During a recent interview, actor Prabhas revealed that the Kalki 2898 AD lays the idea of reaching a global audience and not just sitting around Indian audiences, hence the cost of production was also in mass digits. Through a futuristic, dystopian perspective, its director Nag Ashwin has brought a modern form of Mahabharata-inspired storyline set in the year 2898 AD. Meanwhile, Kalki 2898 AD is released globally today on June 27, 2024.
