Filmmaker SS Rajamouli announces his upcoming project 'Made in India'; says its 'the biopic of Indian Cinema'

India's iconic filmmaker, SS Rajamouli is all set to bring back the high magnitude cinematic multiverse once again. After accolading Oscars for his 2022 movie RRR, SS Rajamouli has announced his upcoming project taking over his X handle(previously twitter). The critically acclaimed director is all geared to present his upcoming movie 'Made in India' which will bring back the history and journey of Indian cinema. as per the announcement the biopic will be produced by SS Rajamouli's son SS Karthikeya and would be helmed under director Nitin Kakkar.

Made in India Announcement

With a larger than life audience globally, the announcement has ignited another level of flames among the Rajamouli fanatics. On Tuesday morning, 19 September, 2023 has announced on X, he shared a teaser video and wrote, "When I first heard the narration, it moved me emotionally like nothing else. Making a biopic is tough in itself, but conceiving one about the FATHER OF INDIAN CINEMA is even more challenging. Our boys are ready and up for it..:)With immense pride, Presenting MADE IN INDIA". His son, Karthikeya on the other hand penned, "It's been years since I wanted to fulfill my dream of becoming a producer. The moment has come. MADE IN INDIA… With utmost responsibility, taking this up as a challenge.Cheers to my producing partner, @VarunG0707, and the director @nitinrkakkar".

After creating a legacy of whopping movies such as 'Baahubali' and Oscar winner 'RRR', 'Made in India' surely excites the whole nation. As it promises to narrate the story of 'the birth and rise of Indian cinema', Rajamouli has no intention of directing the movie. According to a close source, the movie shall promise "magnum opus on a huge scale and canvas”.

Previously SS Rajamouli gained a global momentum on the 95th Oscars stage as his film RRR's musical number 'Naatu Naatu' has been able to win the title of 'Best Original Song'. Composed by MM Keeravaani and lyrics by Chandrabose, the applauding number also won Golden Globe Award for 'Best Original Song'.
