Even for those who weren't around in the 90s, 'Pehla Nasha' carries a unique significance and continues to resonate with listeners.

Recently, Farah Khan shared some intriguing behind-the-scenes stories about this iconic song. Initially, the choreography was being handled by the legendary Saroj Khan in Ooty. However, due to unforeseen circumstances, Saroj had to return to Bombay. At that point, Farah, who had choreographed a few shows, was brought in by the film’s director to take over the choreography.

Farah Khan Recalls Pehla Nasha's BTS Moment 

Farah revealed that she revamped the entire concept of the song and introduced the innovative use of slow-motion, which became a defining feature of "Pehla Nasha." It was also her idea to present Pooja Bedi in a Marilyn Monroe-inspired avatar. Recalling the moment, Farah said, "I told Pooja to hold her skirt in a Marilyn Monroe pose when the fan came on. But the first time the fan was turned on, Pooja didn't hold the skirt, and it blew over her head, causing quite a stir on set. The spot boy fainted, and that was the first time I saw what a thong looked like."

Released in 1992, Jo Jeeta Wohi Sikandar is a romantic film with a sports backdrop. The movie starred Aamir Khan, Ayesha Jhulka, Deepak Tijori, Mamik Singh, Pooja Bedi, and others. "Pehla Nasha" was not just a song; it became an anthem for love-struck teenagers and continues to have a dedicated fan base.

Following the success of 'Pehla Nasha,' Farah Khan’s career in choreography excelled, leading her to work on numerous other films and solidifying her status in the industry.
