On Sunday, the film boasted a solid 29.93 per cent occupancy in Hindi-speaking regions, with evening shows reaching an impressive 41.57 per cent occupancy. This surge in audience interest follows a successful opening on Friday, where 'Crew' managed to rake in Rs 9.25 crore, capitalizing on the Good Friday holiday. The momentum continued on Saturday, with a 5.41 per cent increase in collections, totalling Rs 9.75 crore.
Day 3 proved to be even more promising, with early estimates pegging the net collections at Rs 10.25 crore. Chennai led the pack with the highest occupancy at 60.75 per cent, closely followed by Bengaluru at 51 per cent. Mumbai and Hyderabad also showed strong support, with Hindi occupancy rates of 39 per cent and 34 per cent, respectively.
Directed by Rajesh A Krishnan and co-produced by Rhea Kapoor, the film also features Diljit Dosanjh in a pivotal role and Kapil Sharma in a cameo appearance. While the movie has enjoyed a successful run at the box office during the long weekend, the real test lies ahead as it faces the crucial Monday screenings. Nonetheless, with its stellar performances and engaging storyline, 'Crew' has certainly taken off to a flying start.
In addition to its domestic success, the Ekta Kapoor co-production has also made a mark on the global stage, raking in a commendable Rs 15 crore overseas. With its blend of drama, comedy, and suspense, 'Crew' promises to be an entertaining ride for audiences worldwide.
