Anupam Kher pens heartfelt tribute to close friend and late actor Satish Kaushik
Satish Kaushik, a seasoned actor and director, passed unexpectedly on March 9, shocking everyone. He passed away after having a heart attack while en route to the hospital in a car in Delhi.
Anupam Kher uploaded a video of the prayer meeting in which he is seen decorating Satish Kaushik's framed photograph with rose petals. Anupam also wrote alongside it, "But will miss our friendship on a day to day basis!!"
The first person to post the news of Satish Kaushik's passing on social media was Anupam. While Satish's body was transported to the Versova cremation in Mumbai for the final rites, Anupam remained by his friend's side in the ambulance. During the prayer meeting, he posted a video and a moving and sorrowful parting message for the late actor-producer.

A day following Satish Kaushik's cremation, the Kashmir Files actor posted a video to Instagram in which he said an emotional farewell to his friend and expressed his thoughts in a moving letter about how to deal with the actor's passing.
Satish Kaushik was an Indian actor, comedian, screenwriter, director, and producer. Before landing his big break in Bollywood, he performed in theatre. Satish Kaushik gained notoriety as a movie actor for his portrayal of Calendar in the superhero movie Mr. India in 1987.
Satish Kaushik attended Javed Akhtar and Shabana Azmi's Holi celebration on March 7 while he was in Mumbai. Also, he posted several joyful images from the celebration.
On March 9, Mumbai witnessed Satish Kaushik's funeral rites. Bollywood stars like Arjun Kapoor, Rakesh Roshan, Anu Mallik, Alka Yagnik, Sanjay Kapoor, and others attended his funeral.
