Bengali actor Saibal Bhattacharya attempts suicide, hospitalised in Kolkata
Saibal Bhattacharya attempts suicide: In yet another tragic event, a popular Bengali actor Saibal Bhattacharya allegedly tried to commit suicide at his Kolkata home. According to reports, the actor injured himself and posted a video on Facebook. Saibal Bhattacharya is well-known for his roles in several Bengali serials, including "Prothoma Kadambini".
Saibal was dissatisfied with his professional life since he was not getting employment, according to sources in the local media. A report stated that the actor hit himself on Monday night with a sharp weapon while simultaneously struggling with depression.
He said in the Facebook live broadcast, "I was forced to take it into my own hands. For this my wife, mother-in-law, and...' Before he could finish speaking, the video was shut off.

The Bengali daily Anandabazar Patrika reported that Saibal was found at his Kasba home in South Kolkata prior to being taken to the Calcutta National Medical College and Hospital for treatment.
Saibal is a well-known actor who frequently appeared in serials as a father and an uncle. He also writes screenplays and language in addition to acting.
Numerous Kolkata-based actors are said to have killed themselves in May. Television actor Pallavi Dey was discovered dead in her south Kolkata home, according to a preliminary post-mortem report.
Another Bengali actor, Bidisha De Majumdar, was discovered dead in her Kolkata flat. She was discovered hanging inside her Dumdum residence.
