Babbu Maan responds to Bharti Singh’s ‘beard-moustache’ remark

After Bharti Singh's remark on 'beard and moustache' went viral on social media, the comedian has been facing backlash. Recently, Punjabi singer Babbu Mann gave a befitting reply to the comedian.

In the viral video, Bharti Singh said that there were several benefits of a beard and moustache. "If you have milk and then put your beard in your mouth you will get a taste like 'Sewiyan'," she said.

The statement of Bharti Singh didn't settle well with the Punjabis as she received flak from the people of Punjab besides several religious organisations.

Meanwhile, Punjabi singer Babbu Maan reacted to Bharti Singh's 'beard-moustache' remark. Maan said, "a woman has made derogatory comments regarding the Sikhs' beard and mustache. "Get answers from me for all the shows," he said, demanding a reply from Kapil Sharma and his team.

"Come meet in person, then we'll tell you who Sikh is," he said, adding, "Even I say I am a Sikh but it is very hard to become one."

Meanwhile, the Sikh Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee (SGPC) Secretary, Mahinder Singh said that the remarks by Bharti Singh have been done deliberately and have hurt the sentiments of the Sikhs.

SGPC stated that an FIR should be lodged against Bharti Singh and action should be taken against her. Besides, there have been demands to arrest Bharti Singh. SGPC said that the terminology used by Bharti Singh regarding the Sikh nature is objectionable, condemnable, and beyond tolerable.
