Anushka Sharma shares a gratitude post for the media and fans for not posting Vamika's pictures

Anushka Sharma has been grateful to the fans and media for restraining them from sharing pictures of their daughter Vamika. The actress recently took to her social media handle to thank all of her fans, paparazzi, and media houses for not clicking and for not sharing pictures of her daughter.

The couple Anushka and Virat have repeatedly requested the media to keep their child away from the spotlight as they both intend to let her live freely. Recently Team India left for South Africa and while traveling Virat addressed the media very politely to not take their daughter's pictures or use them in any way.

After the cricketer's request, none of the paparazzi indulged in taking pictures, and nor did they post any if taken. The couple was taken away by the sweet gesture, followed by Anuskha’s gratitude post for all supporting them in keeping her daughter’s privacy. She wrote in her story, “We are deeply thankful to the Indian paparazzi and most of the media fraternity for not publishing pictures/videos of Vamika. As parents, our request to the few who carried the images/video will be to support us going forward.”

Refocusing on keeping Vamika’s privacy, Anuskha again requesting saying, “We seek privacy for our child and would like to do our best to give her a chance to live her life freely away from media and social media. As she is older we cannot restrict her movement and hence your support is needed so kindly practice restraint in the matter. Special thank you to fan clubs and people on the internet for going out of your way to not post images. It was kind and highly mature of you.”

The year start was very lucky for the couple as they welcomed their daughter in January. Immediately after the birth of the baby, the duo very gently issued a statement to the paparazzi to respect their privacy and not click pictures post the birth to which the media responded very well.

The reasons behind this were very well explained by the couple where Virat wrote in his statement, “We have decided as a couple to not expose our child to social media before she has an understanding of what social media is and can make her own choice.”

Virat has been very supportive after the birth of his daughter where he also broke norms and took paternal leave to take care of his daughter. Fatherhood has been exceptional for him about which he said, “It’s been life-changing. It has been a connect which has been different from anything that both of us have experienced before. Just to see your child smile, it can’t be put in words. I can’t express how it feels from within. It’s just been such a blessed and amazing period.”
