Will Mahesh Babu play the role of Ram opposite Deepika Padukone?

Madhu Mantena’s 3D project Ramayana has been in news now for a while with respect to its star cast. Deepika Padukone and Hrithik Roshan have already been onboard as Deepika will be seen as Sita whereas Hrithik Roshan will be seen as Ravan.

For the role of Ram, Prabhas was earlier approached but things haven’t worked out. While the producer Madhu Mantenna was still working on this project, Om Raut the director of ‘Adipurush’ offered the role of Ram to Prabhas, which was accepted by the actor and now the film has gone on the floors as well.

For the role of Ram, producers have now gone to the Telugu superstar Mahesh Babu. A source close to the team has said -"Madhu has offered the film to Mahesh Babu who also liked the script. Madhu feels he has the innocence to pull off Shri Ram's character. Mahesh Babu, on the other hand, has liked the script but is yet to give his nod to the project.”

Official confirmation is still awaited from the team, but for sure it is going to be one big project with three amazingly talented artists being onboard.
