The dynamic duo of Rajkummar Rao and Shraddha Kapoor, known for their roles in the hit horror-comedy film Stree, have come together once again for the much-anticipated sequel, Stree 2. The film's makers recently announced the commencement of shooting in July, accompanied by a revealing video that set the tone for the upcoming installment.
On Saturday morning, the paparazzi caught sight of Shraddha Kapoor and Rajkummar Rao at the Mumbai airport, all set to embark on their journey to Madhya Pradesh, where Chanderi served as the backdrop for Stree 2. Shraddha sported a charming desi look in a white-printed kurta set, complemented by a minimalist aesthetic and accessories like an off-white bag and matching kolhapuri chappals. The actress radiated joy as she headed to the airport.
Rajkummar Rao, on the other hand, opted for a casual look with a black tee, loose track pants, a baseball cap, brown sneakers, and a black backpack.
The announcement video for Stree 2, released on July 11, provided a glimpse into the film's theme. The footage showcased a street in Chanderi, featuring a wall with the message 'O stree kal aana (Stree, come tomorrow),' later replaced by 'O stree raksha karna (Stree, please protect us).' The intriguing theme of the film, labeled as 'sarkate ka aatank' (terror of the headless man), was unveiled in the video.
Directed by Amar Kaushik and produced under the banners of Jio Studios and Dinesh Vijan Maddock Films, Stree 2 promises to be a thrilling horror comedy. Alongside Rajkummar Rao and Shraddha Kapoor, the star-studded cast includes Aparshakti Khurrana, Abhishek Banerjee, and Pankaj Tripathi. This sequel follows the success of the 2018 film Stree, maintaining the suspense and humor that captivated audiences in the original installment.
