Famous songwriter of Hindi movies, Dev Kohli, has passed away at 80 years old. His funeral will be held today at his home in Mumbai. His friends from the movie industry like Anu Malik, Anand Raaj Anand, and others will come to pay their respects.
Dev Kohli, who was born in Rawalpindi, Pakistan, penned down approximately a hundred songs for Bollywood movies. Some of his notable contributions include popular Hindi tracks like Yeh Kaali Kaali Ankhein, Maaye Ni Maaye, and Aate Jaate Hanste Gaate, among many others. He provided lyrics for over 100 successful films such as Maine Pyar Kiya, Baazigar, Judwaa 2, Musafir, Shootout at Lokhandwala, and Taxi No. 9211. He collaborated with music directors like Anand Milind, Anu Malik, Ram Laxman, and others. His journey commenced in 1969 with the movie Gunda.
The last rites will happen at the Oshiwara Crematorium, Jogeshwari West, by 6 pm.
