In her plea, Vaishnavi urgently appeals, "I am currently at the police station. My family has subjected me to verbal abuse and physical assault. I have endured severe beatings. I implore everyone for help. News channels and individuals from the industry, please assist me in overcoming this predicament."
Following the video's viral spread, Vaishnavi took to her Instagram account to share her story and issue a plea for help. In an interview she provided further insight into the distressing situation, stating, "My brother, sister-in-law, and mother have been causing trouble for me over the past ten years. This is not the first instance of them resorting to violence; it has been an ongoing issue."
Vaishnavi reveals the constant scrutiny of her life by her family, indicating, "They aim to dictate my life—my movements, associations, and even my media consumption are constantly scrutinized." She recounts a recent incident where her mother and brother threatened her after an argument, prompting her to seek police intervention.
The actress explains that the root of the conflict is the neighboring property, which she owns. Despite her ownership, Vaishnavi claims that her family is attempting to seize the property, exerting relentless pressure on her. She specifically highlights issues with her inebriated brother, citing previous complaints filed with the police that went unanswered until media attention brought seriousness to the matter.
Vaishnavi, no stranger to domestic violence, previously faced challenges in her marriage to actor Nitin Sheraavat in 2016. In a candid interview, she disclosed the domestic abuse she endured during her marriage, leading to her decision to seek a divorce. She accused Nitin of inflicting severe beatings, reaching a point where her feet were left bleeding.
