Video Inside: Deepika Padukone, Laxmi Agarwal Get Teary-Eyed At Chhapaak Title Track Launch

After much anticipation, the title track of Deepika Padukone starrer ‘Chhapaak’ is out! The song was launched at an event on Friday in Mumbai. Besides the lead pair, Deepika and Vikrant Massey, the event was attended by director Meghna Gulzar, music composer trio Shankar-Ehsaan-Loy, lyricist Gulzar and the acid-attack survivor Laxmi Agarwal.

Addressing the media, Gulzar, who also happens to be Meghna’s father, spoke about the importance of having music even in a sensitive film like Chhapaak. The veteran lyricist said that the music of life has to win. It was at this point Deepika and Laxmi got emotional and broke down in tears.

Meanwhile, Shankar sang a few lines from the song, and Deepika consoled Laxmi through it.

Chaapaak, meanwhile, is scheduled to hit the screens on January 10. The film is a joint production venture between Fox Star Studios, KA Productions and Mriga Films.
