During a press conference held in collaboration with Maharashtra Tourism for the 68th Hyundai Filmfare Awards 2023, Salman Khan opened up about various topics related to his upcoming projects and experiences in the film industry.
He discussed his new film, Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan, which stars him and Pooja Hegde in lead roles, along with other well-known actors. Salman also shared a personal anecdote about being promised an award for his performance in Maine Pyaar Kiya, but feeling betrayed when he did not receive it and subsequently refused to perform at the event.

He explained, "I've never had an interest in awards because I have so many of them at home. When our doors wouldn't stay open, we'd use them as door stoppers. And if we couldn't find a place for them, we'd give them away. That's just how it's always been for me. I never cared about awards. Even now, I don't. I care about rewards, which come from my fans and the Hindi film audience."
When asked about his opinion on new actors in the industry, Salman humorously responded that established actors such as himself, Shah Rukh Khan, Aamir Khan, Ajay Devgn, and Akshay Kumar will not easily give up their positions to the newcomers. He also expressed his concern about the content of some Hindi films, stating that they do not accurately portray India and are not successful as a result.
During the conference, a journalist referred to Salman as "poore India ke bhaijaan" and asked how he handles threats. Salman responded by saying that he does not just consider himself a brother to India but to all those whose lives he impacts positively.
Regarding his film Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan, Salman shared that his team initially discouraged him from using a particular song, but it ended up becoming a big hit and he loves it. The film is set to release on April 21.
