In an interview, the BJP leader shared her own story of sexual assault when she was abused by her father at the age of eight. Further, she also stated that she could not speak against it until she turned 15. Then, in her recent post, she also wrote that she wants all the ‘Devis’ to be protected in all spheres of life. However, she began recalling her own time when she was abused as a child and the mark has remained in the child’s life forever.
Khusbu also stated that her mother had gone through an abusive marriage and the man thought that it was his right to beat his wife, and his children and sexually abused his daughter. However, she said that she was just eight years old she went through sexual assault and dared to speak about it when she was 15.
Furthermore, she said that she had doubted that her mother would not believe her as she had seen her mother in an environment there existed a mindset that whatever happens the husband is God. But Khushbu did not follow the league and revolted against his father at the young age of just 15.
For the unversed, Khusbu Sundar is an actor, film producer and television presenter. Earlier, she had joined the DMK but moved to Congress and became the spokesperson and later she shifted to BJP.
