Bewilderment and Improbability:


Expressing bewilderment at revisiting this matter after two decades, Abhijeet Sawant dismissed Amit Sana's claims outright. He asserted the implausibility of the entire nation voting for both contestants simultaneously and emphasized that the international scrutiny of the show ensured a fair competition. Abhijeet refuted any notion of political influence in the voting process and underscored that dwelling on this issue after 20 years serves no meaningful purpose.


Amit Sana's Allegations:


In an interview with Siddharth Kannan, Amit Sana, the runner-up of Indian Idol Season 1, detailed his allegations. According to Amit, just before the grand finale, his voting lines were abruptly closed, preventing his family from casting their votes. This incident allegedly occurred on March 5, 2005, during the grand finale featuring judges Farah Khan and Sonu Nigam.
