Arshad Warsi’s controversial comments were made during an interview with Samdish Bhatia, where he expressed his disappointment with Kalki 2898 AD. Warsi stated, “Why? I want to see a Mad Max yaar, I want to see Mel Gibson over there. Tumne usko kya bana diya yaar. Kyun karte hai aisa mujhe nahi samaj mein aata hai (What have you made it. Why do filmmakers do this, I will never understand). Prabhas, I am really sad but, why was he like a joker?”

Following the interview, Warsi faced significant backlash from Prabhas’ fans, as well as Tollywood actors like Nani and Siddhu, among others. However, the Dasara actor later expressed regret over his choice of words, acknowledging that he could have phrased his criticism more thoughtfully.

The incident has highlighted the sensitive nature of public critiques within the film industry and the importance of constructive dialogue between artists and filmmakers.
