Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3: Director Anees Bazmee Talks Akshay Kumar's Absence
Kartik Aaryan's fans were delighted when he took the lead role in Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2. However, comparisons with Akshay Kumar, who starred in the original film, couldn't be avoided. Despite the comparisons, Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 was a big success. Now, Kartik is gearing up for Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3, with Vidya Balan making a comeback to the iconic character of Manjulika. Surprisingly, Akshay Kumar is not part of the third installment.
Anees Bazmee, the director of the film, addressed Akshay's absence from the Bhool Bhulaiyaa sequels. He clarified, "No, Akshay is not a part of Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3. I am dying to work with him, but unfortunately, I have not been able to script a film where we could work together. In the future, certainly yes."
Bazmee also shared his appreciation for Vidya Balan's involvement, recalling her kindness during the filming of his previous movie. He said, "Vidya had agreed to do a 3-day role in my film Thank You. I remember calling her, and she took no time to give her nod. I can never forget that gracious gesture. It all started from there, and here I am today, ready to go on the set."
On Monday, Kartik Aaryan shared a special announcement on Instagram about Vidya Balan's participation in Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3. He posted a video featuring clips of Vidya Balan from the first installment and snippets of himself from the second. The iconic song "Ami Je Tomar" played in the background, adding extra excitement to the announcement. In the caption, Kartik wrote, "And it's happening. OG Manjulika is coming back to the world of Bhool Bhulaiyaa. Super thrilled to welcome Vidya Balan."
The director, Anees Bazmee, who has been entertaining fans for the last 35 years, is all set to enthrall fans with his next film, 'Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3.' However, he recently faced a setback as he injured his leg on the last day of a 15-day recce for the film at different locations. He was rushed to the hospital and is currently taking rest after undergoing surgery.
