One of the most versatile and talented actors Sridevi won the Best Actress Award posthumously for her role in the Hindi Film Mom. This award has been received by her husband Boney Kapoor and both the daughters.
Amid all the controversies, the 65th National Film Awards 2018 ceremony held at Vigyan Bhawan in New Delhi on Thursday. There has been controversy around the event as over 70 recipients have decided not to attend the function in protest to President Ram Nath Kovind's decision to not personally give the prizes to all the winners in the list. The President Tam Nath Kovind arrived near the end the of the ceremony and given only 11 awards and delivered his speech only.

Actor Vinod Khanna was awarded with the Dadasaheb Phalke Award which was received by his son Akshaye Khanna and wife Kavita.

Boney Kapoor and their daughters Janhvi and Khushi arrived for the ceremony to receive the Best Actress award for Mom on behalf of Late Actor Sridevi. Boney Kapoor Quoted:
We are proud of her, she truly deserved it. She always gave her best for all her films. Sadly she is not around to accept it. But we are proud of it.
