Simiran Kaur Dhadli's most recent single, 'Lahu Di Awaaz,' has proven to be the year's most divisive. While some members of the audience supported the song, others did not. Meetii Kalher, a popular Punjabi social media influencer, was one of them. She openly discussed why the song 'Lahu Di Awaaz' is disliked by the audience. Not only that, but she also filed a copyright claim because Simiran Kaur Dhadli used her photos and videos without her permission.

Following the copyright claim, YouTube removed the contentious song Lahu Di Awaaz. Simiran Kaur has also released a new official video for her song 'Lahu Di Awwaz.'
Meeti Kalher filed a copyright claim for the music video to use her images in Simiran Kaur Dhadli's initial music video.

The social media influencer also shared photos to prove that she was the one who filed the copyright claim. She stated in the pictures that she has no problem with Punjabi songs or their content, but that if her pictures or videos are used on any such platform by anyone, they must pay her.

In another post, she stated that she does not want to be involved in any controversy with Simiran. She can, however, release more than 100 different versions of the song, which she has no problem with, but Simiran has no right to use her pictures and videos without her permission.
Simiran Kaur Dhadli, on the other hand, has now re-released the song without a video on her YouTube channel after it was removed due to a copyright claim. Simiran Kaur will also release 'Lahu Di Awaaz 2' soon.
