'Ram Setu' is an upcoming action-adventure film which is helmed by Abhishek Sharma. It features Akshay Kumar, Jacqueline Fernandez, Nushrratt Bharuccha and Satya Dev.

The film revolves around the struggle of an archeologist who is investigating the nature of 'Ram Setu', which is known as Adam's Bridge in English.

'Ram Setu' movie real story: Is 'Ram Setu' movie based on a true story?
The story revolves around an archaeologist, who is checking out whether the bridge is a myth or a reality. It is pertinent to mention that the 'Ram Setu' bridge, as per the epic Ramayana, was built by the god Rama's army of 'Vanaras' (monkeys) to reach Lanka to rescue Mata Sita, who was abducted by Ravana.

As per the report, director Abhishek Sharma was trying to build a plot since 2007. The development took place when Abhishek reportedly got to know about a court case that involved Ram Setu.
As of now, there has been no confirmation if 'Ram Setu' movie is based on a true real story but the co-producer Vikram Malhotra, had reportedly said that the film would be "formed on facts, science and historical heritage".
