Punjabi Cinema To Resume Shooting With Guidelines. Details Here

In the first public announcement, Punjab Chief Minister Capt Amarinder Singh said that he has allowed shooting of films and music videos to resume in the state and made this announcement through a Facebook live talk he delivered on June 13.

ਕੋਵਿਡ-19 ਮਹਾਂਮਾਰੀ ਤੋਂ ਪੰਜਾਬ ਤੇ ਪੰਜਾਬ ਵਾਸੀਆਂ ਦੇ ਬਚਾਅ ਲਈ ਅਸੀਂ ਕੁੱਝ ਜ਼ਰੂਰੀ ਕਦਮ ਚੁੱਕੇ ਹਨ। ਜਿਸ ਵਿੱਚ ਸ਼ਨੀਵਾਰ, ਐਤਵਾਰ ਤੇ ਛੁੱਟੀ ਵਾਲੇ ਦਿਨਾਂ ਦੌਰਾਨ ਪੰਜਾਬ ਵਿੱਚ ਇੱਕ ਜ਼ਿਲ੍ਹੇ ਤੋਂ ਦੂਜੇ ਜ਼ਿਲ੍ਹੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਸਫ਼ਰ ਕਰਨ ‘ਤੇ ਪਾਬੰਦੀ ਲਗਾਈ ਗਈ ਹੈ। ਮੈਨੂੰ ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਸਾਰਿਆਂ ‘ਤੇ ਵਿਸ਼ਵਾਸ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਪੰਜਾਬ ਤੇ ਪੰਜਾਬਵਾਸੀਆਂ ਦੀ ਭਲਾਈ ਲਈ ਇਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦਿਸ਼ਾ-ਨਿਰਦੇਸ਼ਾਂ ਦੀ ਪਾਲਣਾ ਕਰੋਗੇ ਤੇ ਹੋਰਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਵੀ ਕਰਨ ਲਈ ਕਹੋਗੇ। ... Have decided to take some steps to contain the spread of #Covid19 and to save Punjab & Punjabis. These will also entail some restrictions on inter-district travel on weekends and holidays. I trust you all will duly follow these guidelines and cooperate in making our #MissionFateh a success.

Meanwhile music videos and audio recordings had started in the state soon after relaxation in curfew in Punjab. But that too these were carried out at a small scale to avoid gathering too many people at one place.

However, the CM mentioned that shootings can only take place with the conditions laid down under the Covid guidelines. While he did not elaborate on what those conditions were, it is difficult to shoot amid those guidelines as quoted by the people of industry.
