Following the terror attack on CRPF convoy that killed over 40 CRPF jawans, Indians have come forward to help the affected families by donating generously. Celebs like Amitabh Bachchan, Akshayk Kumar, Salman Khan and Ammy Virk among others showed their generosity by donating for kin of Pulwama martyrs.
Here is the list of celebs and the amount they donated to help the martyrs’ families.
Amitabh Bachchan: Bollywood’s living legend Amitabh Bachchan has announced that he will be donating Rs 5 lakh each to the families of 40 CRPF personnel who were martyred in the Pulwama terror attack on February 14.
Ammy Virk: Punjabi superstar is the first celeb from Punjab who announced that he will be donating Rs 2.5 lakh each to the families of the fallen servicemen from Punjab. “‘Sat shri akaal ji.. Jehre saade veer shaheed hoye aa, ohna de parwaaraan nu main 10lakh rs den da faisla kita( 2,5 lakh each)… main ohna parwaaraan de puttraaan da ghaataa taan nai poora kar sakda, par jo main apne wallon kar sakda , main oh kar rea… umeed krda k tuc v apne wallon help karonge… waheguru mehar kare ??’,” Ammy wrote while announcing the help.
Ranjit Bawa: Another Punjabi star, Ranjit Bawa showed his big heart by announcing that he will be donating Rs 2.5 lakh each to the families of the fallen servicemen from Punjab.
Diljit Dosanjh: Singer-actor Diljit Dosanjh donated Rs 3 lakh to the wives of the CRPF troopers who died in the terror attack in Jammu and Kashmir’s Pulwama district.
Badshah: Rapper-producer Badshah also donated Rs 3 lakh to the wives of the CRPF troopers who died in the terror attack in Jammu and Kashmir’s Pulwama district.
Sargun & Ravi Dubey: The couple also donated Rs 3 lakh to kin of martyrs.
Akshay Kumar: Bollywood’s action hero, Akshay Kumar has reportedly donated Rs 5 crore through Bharat Ke Veer — a fundraising initiative of the Union Ministry of Home Affairs.
Salman Khan: Bollywood’s superstar Salman Khan also donated to help the kin of martyrs. However, the amount he has donated is not yet disclosed.
Besides film celebrities, cricketers like Shikhar Dhawan and Virender Sehwag among others too extended their help by donating a certain amount.
