August had been a great month for the Indian OTT seekers. The month has eventually bought together two of the most anticipated web series, 'Guns and Gulaabs' and 'Made in Heaven' season 2 on two of the biggest streaming platforms, Netflix and Prime Video respectively.

Ranging from blockbuster movie's to intriguing television series, every storyline screams unique authenticity on varying OTT platforms. Today, if we look around, every one or the other is hooked up watching an OTT creation. If we talk about India alone, August had been a great month for the Indian OTT seekers. The month has eventually bought together two of the most anticipated web series, 'Guns and Gulaabs' and 'Made in Heaven' season 2 on two of the biggest streaming platforms, Netflix and Prime Video respectively. 


'Made in Heaven' Season 2

Sobhita Dhulipala and Arjun Mathur starrer 'Made in Heaven' season 2 came with a huge blast and turned out to be more intriguing than it's previous part came four years back. Released in August 10, 2023 the makers has bought the leading characters into a more deeper persona, special kudos goes to Tara Khanna who came back in a more ravishing, more darker version of Tara than in season 1. The satirical drama series that has portrayed the unversed part of Indian weddings, ravishing yet ironically deprived with societal setbacks, it is surely one of a kind series that India truly needed at it's dooming phase of mentalities. 

The brand new season has reprised the grandeur of setting marriages by the wedding planners(Karan and Tara) in varying classes of society. More drama, fun and twists as well as turns are well served this time. The plot stood to it's promise of a more gripping screenplay and storyline from the characters, who has dealt with life's surprising consequences. The show hence had hit the perfect spot of an engaging drama addressing issues like domestic violence, teen sex, racism, and unwed pregnancies and delve deeper into issues like divorce, bigamy, extra-marital affairs, and the crazy landscape of casual relationships.


'Guns & Gulaabs'

'Guns & Gulaabs' on the other hand is an another most talked show of the last month. Premiered on 18 August 2023, it is a comedy drama series starring Dulquer Salmaan, Rajkumar Rao, Adarsh Gaurav and Gulshan Devaiah in leading roles. Set in the classic 90's, the show will take you on a reverse journey through it impeccable storyline. Helmed by Raj & DK, it is a perfect blend of drama, sarcasm, witty dialogues and interesting characters. The series also features the last performance served by Satish Kaushik before leaving this mortal realm. The official synopsis of 'Guns & Gulaabs' states, "In a sleepy town, a mechanic struggles to emerge from his dead gangster father's shadow in a mission to win over the love of his life. An honest officer ends up being a chaos agent; whilst a reluctant cartel heir has an identity crisis." Till now the show has been widely accepted by the overall audience and craved good reviews from the critics too. 

Accessing through such positively acclaimed television series, India is truly ahead of it's cinematic creation and August has surely had been a one!
