Following the loss of Friends actor James Michael Tyler, actors Anushka Sharma and Samantha Ruth Prabhu were heartbroken. James, who played Gunther, the manager of Central Perk's coffee shop, died on Sunday at the age of 59. He died at his Los Angeles home after a long battle with prostate cancer.

Anushka Sharma uploaded a Pubity post on Instagram Stories, along with a broken heart emoji. Samantha Ruth Prabhu commented on the same post with the words "Noooooo" and a broken heart emoji.
Jennifer Aniston, Courteney Cox, and Maggie Wheeler, James' Friends co-stars, also paid tribute to him. Jennifer released a short clip of one of her sequences with James from the sitcom, as well as a photo of him, on Instagram. She penned, "Without you, my friends would not have been the same. Thank you for bringing fun to the show and to our lives in general. #JamesMichaelTyler, you will be sorely missed."

Courteney also posted a photo of James on Instagram with the caption, "The amount of gratitude you brought into the room and demonstrated on set every day is equal to the amount of gratitude I feel for having met you. James, may you rest in peace."
Since 2018, James had been battling prostate cancer. In June, he revealed on NBC's Today Show that he had been diagnosed with advanced prostate cancer, which had spread to his bones, in September 2018. During a routine physical, the malignancy was identified.

His Central Perk the cafe where the six main characters hung out was featured in 150 episodes overall ten seasons of the popular 1990s sitcom Friends. He also starred in Scrubs, Sabrina the Teenage Witch, and Modern Music, among other series.
