MS Dhoni to produce a South Film: Former Indian Cricketer MS Dhoni holds a huge fan following in the South especially in Tamil Nadu. Despites, his IPL team Chennai Super Kings, the Indian cricketer, has surprisingly seized the attention of Tamil households, and there has been no looking back. The cricketer will make his Kollywood debut.
Yes! you read that correctly. The cricketer announced his retirement from international cricket and stated that he will only play in the IPL for a few more seasons. MS Dhoni who is referred as 'Thala' in Tamil is all set to mark his debut as a producer as per the latest reports.
According to a source, the former captain has employed Sanjay, an assistant to actor Rajnikanth.

Nayanthara is set to portray the female protagonist in Dhoni's first film, and an official announcement is expected after the IPL season ends. This month, filming will begin. In addition, Dhoni was active in the promotion of his bilingual biography, 'MS Dhoni: The Untold Story.' In Tamil-speaking countries, the film did well.
Previosuly, Cricketer Harbhajan Singh also marked his Tamil cinema debut with a cameo in 'Dikkiloona' whereas Irfan Pathan will also be seen in the film 'Cobra'.
On the other hand, Nayanthara has a number of upcoming projects, including Atlee's next film, Lion, starring Shah Rukh Khan, and O2, directed by GS Viknesh.
