Being a gay or a lesbian or either a queer is somehow still a taboo in a culturally prolonged country like India. The legalization of same sex marriage comes with a huge cost where people are still rooted in customs that believes homosexuality as an utmost sin. It is yet another risky task to live happily if you belong from the community. But however, things are changing in few parts of India. With gradual education and exposure of modernity, things are coming to track in few cities. We are talking about the big metropolitan parts of country or the cities which extensively experiences the flock of foreign culture. Today in this story, as a special article for the inclusive pride month i have brought the most gay friendly places of the country. 


Mumbai: The Maharashtrian city, 'Mumbai' has to offer something to everyone who thrives to live. Gay, straight, trans no matter who you are, the city can become very friendly to people, specially the dreamers. The heavy influence of Bollywood and entertainment industry is one major factor for the inclusive influence. You can dive yourself in friendly parties, festivals and concerts to experience the gay friendly culture.

Goa - The beachy state of the west lies just below Maharashtra. One of the most travelled places by the foreigners, the place has evolved fabulously. City specially Panaji offer numerous gay friendly clubs and beaches that lacks in most of the places. Hence if you are from the community, you will feel absolutely safe as an LGBTQ individual.


Bengaluru: The Silicon Valley of the country, Bengaluru has been focusing on inclusivity extensively. In-fact, the city has started organizing pride parade every year since 2008. This is not all, Bengaluru organizes some LGBTQ specialized festivities that includes the infamous Bengaluru Queer Film Festival and it always looks forward celebrating their art, poetry, and businesses. The nightlife of the city offers numerous gay friendly venues to delve in.


Delhi: The capital city is now mostly open to people from every pronoun. The only friendly place in the north to be precise. Delhi is exposed with educated youths and inclusive societies which had eventually started accepting and spilling gender norms truthfully. Here one can immerse in some most friendly clubs and pride festivities of the June. 


Kolkata: The eastern city of Bengal is not far behind too. Infact, it is filled with people from the community. The city even claims to host country's oldest LGBT Film and Video Festival every year. The film festival ensembles brings out varying genres and aspects from the industry. Hence it is one of the most forward thinking place of the country when it comes to gay friendly places for travellers.
