Kesari Box Office Report: Film Earns Rs 87 Crore In 5 Days, Akshay’s 9th Hit In A Row

Akshay Kumar’s epic war saga ‘Kesari’ is inching towards Rs 100 crore. The film, which was released on the day of Holi, has amassed over Rs 87 crore in just five days. Going by the film’s popularity, we are sure that the film will touch the Rs 100 crore mark in coming few days.

Film critic and trade analyst Taran Adarsh took to his official Twitter handle to share Kesari’s box office details. Taran wrote: “#Kesari should’ve collected in double digits on Mon... North circuits dominate, driving its biz... Faces more-than-required decline in some circuits... Tue-Thu crucial... Thu 21.06 cr, Fri 16.75 cr, Sat 18.75 cr, Sun 21.51 cr, Mon 8.25 cr. Total: ₹ 86.32 cr. India biz.”

The film had broken multiple records till now. ‘Kesari’ is the biggest opener of 2019, and the second biggest opener of Akshay Kumar’s career, after Gold.

The Anurag Singh film will also be Akshay’s ninth hit in a row after Gold (Rs102.10 crore), Pad Man (Rs 78.22 crore), Toilet Ek Prem Katha (Rs132.07 crore), Jolly LLB 2 (Rs 117 crore), Rustom (Rs 127.49 crore), Housefull 3 (Rs109.14 crore), Airlift ( ₹128.1 crore) and Singh Is Bliing ( ₹89.95 crore).
