Kangana Ranaut's most anticipated film 'Thalaivi' to release this September. Release Date revealed!

Kangana Ranaut is on the verge to impress the audience with her several projects one after the other. The Manikarnika actress recently began filming for Tejas and also started the pre-production of ‘Tiku Weds Shera’.

Now, another update related to her much anticipated movie ‘Thalaivi’ is being surfaced on the internet.

Thalaivi, the biopic of former Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Jayalalitha starring Kangana Ranaut, is set to hit theatres on September 10th. The film was originally scheduled to be released on June 26, 2020, but it was postponed several times due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

The film was rescheduled for April 23, 2021, but the second wave of the novel coronavirus forced the makers to postpone the release once again.

Kangana confirmed this as she took to her Instagram handle and shared an official poster of the film which also disclosed the release date.

Along with the poster Kangana wrote, "The story of this iconic personality deserves to be witnessed only on the BIG SCREEN!

Kangana Ranaut will play Jayalalithaa, and Arvind Swami will play late Chief Minister M G Ramachandran in the film.

The film's trailer was released on March 23 2021, that  showcased glimpses from late actor and politician Jayalalithaa's life and followed her transition from the world of cinema to the world of politics.

Thalaivi is written by KV Vijayendra Prasad, best known for working on Baahubali. Besides, Kangana will also appear in the action films Dhaakad and Tejas, in addition to this one.
