Hollywood actor Jamie Foxx is in the midst of legal troubles, according to a recent report. Court documents reveal that he has been sued by a woman, identified as Jane Doe, for an alleged incident of sexual assault that occurred in 2015.

The lawsuit, filed on Wednesday, claims that Jamie Foxx sexually assaulted Jane Doe at a rooftop bar in New York called Catch NYC. According to the allegations, Foxx took her to a secluded area of the bar, where he rubbed her breasts and groped her under her pants against her will.

The incident reportedly took place when the woman and her friend were seated at a table next to Foxx and Mark Birnbaum, the owner of the bar. Around 1 a.m., the woman's friend approached Foxx for a photo, to which Foxx agreed. While taking photos, Foxx allegedly began complimenting the plaintiff, making comments about her body and comparing her to Gabrielle Union.

The lawsuit also claims that the woman had to seek medical treatment as a result of the alleged assault. Seeking compensation for pain, suffering, emotional distress, anxiety, and humiliation, the lawsuit names Mark Birnbaum and Catch NYC as additional defendants.

In response to the legal action, the woman is pursuing a trial by jury and is seeking both compensatory and punitive damages. The lawsuit is filed under New York's Adult Survivors Act, which allows for a one-year revival window to file sexual abuse claims that would otherwise be barred.

It's worth noting that at the time of the alleged incident, Jamie Foxx was in a relationship with actress Katie Holmes. The unfolding legal proceedings will likely draw attention as they continue to develop.
