'General Hospital' Actor Johnny Wactor Fatally Shot in Los Angeles

Johnny Wactor, the American soap opera actor best known for his character Brando Corbin in 'General Hospital', has died after being murdered by a gunman in Los Angeles on Saturday morning.

Johnny Wactor, the American soap opera actor best known for his character Brando Corbin in 'General Hospital', has died after being murdered by a gunman in Los Angeles on Saturday morning. Per TMZ, the situation arose after Johnny and a buddy witnessed three individuals attempting to lift his car's catalytic converter.

Johnny Wactor Passes Away

Scarlett Wactor, Johnny's mother talked to the media: "He was not fighting with these dudes and he still got killed. The perpetrators ran away, and their descriptions are being withheld. Scarlett said he is hopeful those behind the acts of crime will soon be apprehended by police.

Officials with the Los Angeles Police Department said a man was shot around 3:00 a.m. near the intersection of Pico Boulevard and Hope Street. Johnny Wactor, who had nearly 200 episodes of "General Hospital" under his belt, did not survive the trip to the hospital.

In a statement, Johnny's agent David Shaul said: “Johnny Wactor was a spectacular human being. Not just a talented actor dedicated to his craft but also a moral example to everyone who knew him. He stood for hard work, tenacity, and a never-give-up attitude. Despite the ups and downs of a challenging profession, he always kept his chin up and strived for the best. Our time with Johnny was a privilege we would wish on everyone. He would literally give you the shirt off his back. After over a decade together, he will leave a hole in our hearts forever.”

Johnny Wactor played Brando Corbin on the ABC soap opera from 2020 to 2022. He also had roles in various films and TV series, including ‘Station 19’, ‘NCIS’, ‘Westworld’, and the video game ‘Call of Duty: Vanguard’.
