Harshvardhan Rane's 'Sanam Teri Kasam 2' confirmed; filming begins soon says makers

'Sanam Teri Kasam,' a romantic film starring Harshvardhan Rane and Mawra Hocane, was released six years ago. The film was much loved and adored by everyone. Everything about it was praised: the tale, the music, the performance.

The makers of the super hit film Sanam Teri Kasam- Radhika Rao and Vinay Sapru, the film's directors, will once again represent this beautiful drama on screen. 'Sanam Teri Kasam 2' preparations have been completed. The sequel will begin filming in the months of September and October of this year as confirmed by the makers.

"We are really thrilled that we were able to construct a story for it," Vinay Sabru, who confirmed the news to our colleague Bombay Times, said. This time, the plot revolves around Harshvardhan Rane's character and what happens to him following Mawra's death.

Films are interconnected in this way. This has piqued everyone's interest. We've been discussing what we can do in the sequel to move the storyline ahead. We've been working toward this goal for six years. We don't want to disappoint the public because the film has gained a fanbase.

'Even though the intention was always there, we didn't move forward until we found a story that would make Radhika and me happy,' the director continued. While many people remember 'Sanam Teri Kasam' for its wonderful music, it also has a unique love narrative.

When questioned about Mawra Hocane, who dies in Sanam Teri Kasam will her character be alive in the sequel?  Vinay speaks,  'I'm not sure we can accomplish it this time,' Vinay responded. We may have to work with a different celebrity this time because his journey in the first film is done. Because her character's journey is completed in the first film, we may have to work with a different artist this time. Watching Harshvardhan's character under the tree where she's buried is a terrible scene. "What happens to him after that is the focus of the sequel."
