Citadel: Bollywood's heartthrob Varun Dhawan and Pan-India star Samantha Ruth Prabhu are all set to blaze the screens with their action-packed espionage thriller series 'Citadel'. The duo will be seen playing the role of a spy in the upcoming series.
While there has been a buzz for the exciting series, reports claim that the filming of the same will begin in November.
Yes, you read it correctly. The Indian remake of Priyanka Chopra's Hollywood project 'Citadel', featuring Varun Dhawan and Samantha Ruth, will soon begin its production by November.

It is said that 'Citadel India' is set in the 1990s and the makers would play around in two time zones- the start of the era and the end of the 90s.
Additionally, it is claimed that the international spy thriller would include spin-offs outside of India. Citadels in Italy, Mexico, and many other countries will be available. The details of Priyanka Chopra's character in the larger context will be elaborated in the Indian version of the movie, with Varun and Samantha ruling the scene, the source said.
Apart from 'Citadel', Samantha also has 'Shaakuntalam', 'Yashoda' and 'Kushi' in her pipeline. Likewise, there were rumours that Samantha also signed her first Bollywood movie, but she hasn't confirmed the same.
Varun Dhawan, who was most recently seen in 'JugJugg Jeeyo', is currently gearing up for the release of his horror-comedy movie 'Bhediya' with Kriti Sanon. In addition to this, he will also be seen in 'Bawaal' with Janhvi Kapoor.
