Rekha Exclusive interview; 69-year-old actress reveals the reason for not coming back in movies since 2014

Bollywood's veteran actress Rekha jaw-jolted her fans with her exclusive interview with a magazine. The woman who is mostly seen minding her own privacy has unabashedly turned outspoken this time with a world leading magazine and talked about almost everything. This is indeed a rare sighting because it has been almost two decade she hasn't spoken fiercely regarding her life and decisions and never made any movie appearance ever since her last project 'Super Nani' in 2014.  

Why she hasn't acted in movies from 2014?

Now 69-year-old actress Rekha has been a role model for numerous people and been iconic ever since her classic Bollywood days. Although she hasn't returned to the mainstream movies from almost 9 years but she is a regular face in the A-class parties and events. While asked about why she hasn't done any movie after 2014 she regretlessly answered and said, "when the time is right, the right project will find me. I choose where I want to be and where I don’t want to be. I am so blessed to have earned the right to choose what I love. And to have the luxury to simply say no." 

Answers given by Rekha

The reason for her no's is not something that is usual. She has a deep reason for that too supporting to which she quoted, "Whether I make films or not, it never leaves me. I have my memories to relive what I love. My persona is my own, but my cinematic persona is in the eye of the beholder." Coming up next, she was thrown with an another question of weight. While asked 'when you love someone or something so deeply, does the love disappear?’, to which Rekha elegantly replied, "No. Once the relationship is established, it is forever. Sometimes we may want more, and sometimes it’s just enough. This applies to my craft. I was born with an instinct for the perseverance of beauty. Sure, I was born to be an actor...But it is my insatiable quest for learning and my willingness to keep my eyes and heart open, absorbing beauty with positivity, not negativity, that gives me command over my craft. I feel like a newcomer every day. And I trust those who demonstrate commitment like I do."

Although Rekha was not asked about her love life directly as we see her decades back interviews, but while she answered the deep confessed feeling of affection of love, her answer weight tons. The entire nation is aware of her romantic affair with Big B Amitabh Bachchan  which soon flew and vanished into nothingness.  Even without speaking about her love she spoke infinite innate feelings. The lady who always expressed her love fiercely, never loved anyone apart from her lover man. This whole Rekha Story makes her even more inspiring and moving as public figure who's now moving globally at an age of 69. Truly miraculous!
