Koffee With Karan 8; Sharmila Tagore opens up about Saif and Amrita Singh's split up phase! Calls it a 'not nice moment'
Koffee With Karan Season 8 is currently basking it's success after each episode, turning everything to be bigger and better. The couch that has been graced by some of the biggest stars of tinsel town will now bring Bollywood's starriest mother-son duo, Sharmila Tagore and Saif Ali Khan. The promo of the upcoming episode that was released recently has revealed some most adorable moments shared with the show's cult host, Karan Johar. As shown, the delightful camaraderie shared between them promises an insightful detail on their striking lifestyle and some unheard moments, both personal and professional.
Saif Ali Khan and Amrita Singh's divorce
The upcoming episode with mark KWK's 10th episode of the season, wherein the couch will be seated with the royal mother-son duo, Sharmila Tagore and Saif Ali Khan. As shown in the episode's promo, Sharmila Tagore will reveal some of the enthralling moments of Saif's life, banging off with his notorious college days to his first marriage wkith Amrita Singh that was debted in failure. During one of the candid conversation, Saif Ali Khan spoke of his first marriage and stated that his mother was the first person in the family whom he discussed his willingness to divorce. While Tagore was quite supportive to her son's decision, she called the moment was not at all harmonious and quoted the phase as a 'not nice moment'.
Sharmila Tagore describes the moment of turmoil in the royal family
The mother stated "When you are together for such a long time and you have such lovely children, then no break up is easy. Then it is not a harmonious… I know it is difficult to have harmony at that stage, everybody is hurt… so that stage was not nice, but I tried. But that's water under the bridge, she needed time to cool down." Sharmila Tagore also revealed that it was a moment of grief for the family as they had lost Amrita as their daughter-in-law along with their two beautiful children, Sara Ali Khan and Ibrahin Ali Khan. Continuing further, "It’s not just staying away, there are so many other things involved. It wasn’t a happy time for us, because Ibrahim was just three, and we were very, very fond of the children. Especially Tiger was very fond of Ibrahim, and he would say, ‘That’s a good lad’. And he didn’t get that time," she added. According to her, for the famnily doubly deprived moment after loosing Amrita and both of their kids.

Meanwhile, Saif Ali Khan have unabshedly quoted that life is not at all like a Karan Johar movie and further expressed his gratitude for the family to balance out things to look out the situation from all fronts. He also feels grateful to Amrita for sending Sara to Saif and Kareena's marriage. While apeaking off Saif Ali Khan and Amrita Singh, both of them got married in 1991 which lasted for 13 years and separated 2004. Saif later fell in love with Kareena Kapoor and sat for the wedding pheras in 2012.
