Kangana Ranaut Accuses Javed Akhtar of Criminal Intimidation: Complaint Lodged with Strong Grounds
The court has now sufficient grounds on running a legal procedure for the offence of criminal intimidation or acts that was intended to insult the modesty of women.
The clash between actress Kangana Ranaut and lyricist Javed Akhtar is long prevailing since 2020. The legal tussle dates back to three years when Javed Akhtar filed a complaint against Kangana Ranaut. The actress now filed a cross-complaint on Javed for threatening her amid her respective dispute with Hrithik Roshan for their alleged affair followed by her counter attack which seems to be a heavy price for the lyricist now as he was summoned to appear in the Mumbai court on August 5, 2023 alleged for "extortion and criminal intimidation".
As per the reports, the court has now sufficient grounds on running a legal procedure for the offence of criminal intimidation or acts that was intended to insult the modesty of women. The complaint was lodged with strong grounds indeed!

R M Shaikh, The Metropolitan Magistrate of Andheri Court has issued the legal summon on July 24, 2023. In a statement released by the court it has cleared while saying, " asking a person to give a written apology would not fall under the definition of "valuable security" under section 30 of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) because no legal right is created, transferred, or released." Following the further statement, it quoted "I have come to the conclusion that there are sufficient grounds to proceed against the accused for offence under IPC section 506 (criminal intimidation) and 509 (gestures or acts intended to insult the modesty of a woman)," the court added.

In 2020, Javed Akhtar filed the complaint against the actress for dragging his name under the existing 'coterie' in the Bollywood industry very instant after the suicide case of the Bollywood actor Sushant Singh Rajput. To which, Kangana has counter complained where she confessed that she and her sister Rangoli Chandel were called off to his house amidst the clashes between the Krrish 3 co-actor Hrithik Roshan and alleged him for "malafide intentions and ulterior motives and then criminally intimidated and threatened" her.
