Pashmina About Battling Depression

In a candid interview, Pashmina revealed that she struggled with depression in her early years. She recounted feeling uncertain about her potential as an actor and resorting to sleeping through the afternoons to escape her confusion and low spirits.

Despite being involved in performing arts and theatre during school, Pashmina wasn't convinced that acting was her calling at the time. "I applied to different universities in the UK for marketing, got my visa, booked my rooms, and it was summer holiday. I felt very depressed. While my friends went to parties and enjoyed themselves, I just slept through the afternoons," she said.

Struggling with Confidence

Pashmina admitted to feeling inadequate in the field of marketing, which left her artistically unfulfilled. "I wasn't satisfied with marketing. I didn't think I was good enough for it," she explained. Seeking to understand her potential, Pashmina decided to have a photoshoot, hoping to discover what she could offer.

After sharing the photos with her father and uncle, they encouraged her, saying, "There is something in everyone, but you have to polish it." This motivated Pashmina to pursue acting seriously. She enrolled in acting and dance classes, learning various dance forms, including Bharatnatyam, and began attending numerous auditions.

Pashmina Roshan about Debut Film 

Pashmina faced several rejections along the way but used these experiences to evaluate herself and improve, often seeking feedback from her family. Her perseverance paid off when she finally secured her debut role in "Ishq Vishk Rebound."

Expressing her gratitude, Pashmina said, "I am quite grateful to have gotten this film, 'Ishq Vishk Rebound.'"

"Ishq Vishk Rebound" is scheduled to release in theatres on June 21, 2024.
