Arun Govil reacts to the portrayal of Lord Ram by Ranbir Kapoor in Nitesh Tiwari's upcoming flick Ramayana
From the past few months, Ranbir Kapoor has been in constant headlines with his upcoming projects folded under his sleeves. As reported earlier, the acing actor will be playing the character of Ram in the Nitesh Tiwari's upcoming epic saga, Ramayana. As the news flocked in and around the entertainment realm, fans started gasping in joy to see their favorite Bollywood actor essaying such a moving role. Now after months of it's confirmation, Arun Govil, the most famous reel life Ram of the country who played Ram in the classic Ramayana helmed under Ramanand Sagar expresses his feelings on the same.
During a recent conversation with a media forum, Arun Govil shared his feelings on the upcoming adaptation of Ramayana in Bollywood by Nitesh Tiwari and most specifically it's leading character Ranbir Kapoor. He said, "Voh ho sakta hai ya nahi ho sakta hai voh toh samay batayega. Pehle se kuch nahi kaha ja sakta kisi ke baare main.(Whether Ranbir playing Ram could be possible or not, it cannot be said by me rather the time will say. Nothing can be predicted at such an earlier period)." Continuing further he heaped praises for ranbir Kapoor, for being a good son and a good actor, hence said "But, as far as Ranbir is concerned, he is a good actor. He is an award-winning actor. Jitna jaanta hoon main unko, bohot sanskaari bacche hain voh. Unke andar morals, sanskar, sanskriti hai. Maine dekha hai kayi baar unko. I’m sure that he will try to do his level best."
Speaking of the Nitesh Tiwari's adaptation, the movie is also expected to feature Sai Pallavi as Sita as per the fresh news. Earlier it was the Sri Devi daughter, Janhvi Kapoor who had been replaced by Sai, the post sources confirmed. While Sunny Deol is rumored to portray the character of Hanuman. Lakshman, Ram's brother is however not confirmed yet. On the other hand, actor Vijay Sethupathi has been roped off to play the role of Vibhishana, brother of Ravana. In-fact the news was confirmed a strong media outlet which said, "Nitesh Tiwari recently met Vijay Sethupathi and took him through the script and the world that he is looking to create with Ramayana for the spectacle. Vijay was blown away by the narration and the visuals and has shown his interest in the film."
Meanwhile, the makers have yet to confirm the news that are flooding-in in the industry currently, and which is eagerly anticipated by the masses. However, the movie is expected ti hit the cinemas during the Diwali celebration of the next year.
