Alia Bhatt speaks about her parent's fair share of struggle along with success; Says 'he was battling an addiction to alcohol'

Talking about Mahesh Bhatt's dooming phase
During the unabashed conversation with Elle US, she put light onto the fair share of struggle his both the parents had to face before landing into the glamorous world. "He had a bunch of flops at one point; he barely had any money, and he was battling an addiction to alcohol," Alia quoted. Adding further into her statement she continued, "My parents struggled to get to a point where I could enjoy their privilege. I do recognize that." Meanwhile she even said how Mahesh Bhatt after leaving alcohol had to go through varying ups and downs in his personal and professional life.
Her mother's struggle
While recalling her mother's journey she said that she came from no where, hence Soni Razdan didn't know the way of making it into the industry. She said even after having zero connection with films, her mother during the earlier phase would go to theatres, film and television studios to audition. As per her revelation, Mrs. Bhatt was not even fluent in Hindi and hence she shred her blood, sweat and tears to get into the mainstream genres and could do no leads, apart from supporting roles.

Talking about Alia Bhatt's professional, after a huge success of RARKPK, she is all set for her upcoming movie Jigra, announced recently. The movie will be helmed by Vasan Bala and the actress ahs joined in hands with Karan Johar as co-producer. Alia also has Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s 'Baiju Bawra' under her pipeline, which will be a female spy movie in collaboration with Yash Raj Films.
