As the Manipur violence has already shocked the entire nation, there is a collective raise in voice coming together from the masses, from commoners to celebrities and politicians to businessman, everyone is pleading for the justice for the innocent women's who were mob lynched and raped in the unheard state of Northeast India, Manipur.

Priyanka Chopra seeks justice!

A recent incident from Manipur has swept away the entire nation with storm as a video went viral on Thursday, July 20, 2023 where two Manipuri Tribal women's were paraded naked and raped by more than 15 man of Churanchandpur. The heinous incident had taken place during the early May, 2023 but the video made it's way to the masses recently! Global star, Priyanka Chopra unleashed her silence in tremor and kept her wretched feelings unapologetically. While taking over her Instagram handle, she shared a story and wrote, "It took a video going viral..77 days after the heinous crime was committed. Rationale? Reasons? None matter--irrespective of what and why, situational or circumstantial, we cannot allow woman to be pawns in any games", while continuing to her grief she quoted “The collective shame and anger needs to be channeled now in a unified voice for just one thing - swift justice" and added unified hashtags #togetherinshame and #justiceforthewomenofmanipur. 

Previously many other Bollywood actors came front to raise their voice which included Akshay Kumar, Kiara Advani, Vivek Agnihotri, Richa Chadha, Sanjay Dutt, Riteish Deshmukh and many others.

The unforgivable crime

Meanwhile, The incident happened after a misleading picture of a Delhi woman went circulated on social media, falsely claiming her to be woman from the Meiti tribe reacting to which two innocent women's were mob lynched as a false news spreaded among the Kuki tribe. The women's were paraded naked - one in her 40's and another in her 20's. They were walked down naked, taken to a paddy field of the Kangpokpi district and raped them, resulted in the death of a one Reportedly, the incident is not new but older than a month which occurred on May 4, 2023, but it was heard by the nation only after the gruesome video went viral on July 19, 2023. One of the two women were survived, who during an interview shared her tragedy and told how the false news has brought their misfortune.
