'Brahmastra' worked for Bollywood as it breaks the curse at box office, garners bumper opening

Brahmastra box office collection Day 1: While 'Brahmastra' makers were claiming for the film to be the biggest-ever VFX film in India, the fans and critics believed that Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt starrer was an actual 'Brahmastra' of the Bollywood and if it would have failed then that might have been a concern for the fraternity.
Fortunately, Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt's much-awaited film 'Brahmastra' worked as it broke the curse of Bollywood at the box office. The film has become the biggest non-holiday release in India.

As per Bollywood Hungama, the film garnered a huge amount of over Rs. 36.50 to 38.50 crores in the domestic market on its opening day, becoming the biggest non-holiday release.
The trade website BoxOfficeIndia.com reported that the 'Brahmastra’ box office day 1 collection was at around Rs 35-36 crore in India.

On the other hand, the worldwide box office collection of Ayan Mukerji's directorial has managed to garner an opening of over Rs 75 crore.
In the meanwhile, the producer Karan Johar shared an update on his Instagram account. He informed that the film minted Rs 75 crore worldwide on its opening day. He said, “Humbled… Grateful…but yet can’t control my excitement! ❤️❤️❤️❤️”

Likewise, 'Brahmastra' has left behind the opening day collections of even pre-pandemic films, including 'Sanju', 'Tiger Zinda Hai', and 'Dhoom 3'.
