'1920 Horrors of the Heart' movie review; Is it the worst movie from the horror franchise? Critics calls it 'Horrendous'
There are many reasons for it's failure among the masses. Secluded mansions, poor visual affects, creaking doors, mirror scenes, dark alleys, candles and music are so old fetched now. Apart from that, 'Horrors of the heart' is failing miserably due to it's ridiculous plot which failed to engage audience.
The new movie of the 1920 franchise, '1920- Horrors of the Heart' was released recently on June 23, 2023. Directed by Krishna Bhatt, the movie came with a blastful trailer that promised to raise fear with it's intriguing storyline. However, even after almost a week, scenes are indifferent! Movie goers and critics are helming the movie to be one of the most mundane creation of the 1920 world. In short the movie did not stand on what the creators has promised!
Why people are not liking the film?
There are many reasons for it's failure among the masses. One has to be it's cliché storyline and visual effects. The franchise which started in 2008 with such a immaculate masterpiece, '1920' have somehow lost it's route to make such a binge watch worthy creation further. Every movie that was created after the first did not pass the audience's satisfaction for the same cliched reason. Secluded mansions, poor visual affects, creaking doors, mirror scenes, dark alleys, candles and music are so old fetched now. Apart from that, 'Horrors of the heart' is failing miserably due to it's ridiculous plot which failed to engage audience.
The 'not-so-interesting' storyline
The story however starts from a good plot but the expected after-results is what seemed horrendous! The plot revolves around the lead character of Avika Gor as Meghna who is set to surprise her father about her love life on her 21st birthday. What awaits for her is the father's hanging body at the house. Fueled by anger she sets foot into her mother and step-father's mansion for a stay and paves a portal for her father's spirit. This is where the eerie occurrences begins that brings the chilling truth laying beneath the surface.
Poor Performances
As leads, Avika Gor and Barkha bisht brings few graces to the cinema screens but however it lacked initial heights. Moreover, other actors who are involved in the film do not give any strong vibe to the audience. Actor's like Danish Pandor and Rahul Dev provide some negotiable plastic coated performances. Adding to this, the climax of the movie awaits with more laughter than fear which eventually destroys the whole horror factor of the franchise once again.
