Bigg Boss 2 and Lock Upp contestant Payal Rohatgi has come out in support of filmmaker Sajid Khan whose appearance on Bigg Boss 16 was being criticised by the majority of people.
Earlier, filmmaker Sajid Khan was accused of sexual misconduct by several women during the #MeToo movement. With Salman Khan-hosted reality show, Sajid is making his first appearance on a public platform since the allegations surfaced in 2018.

Payal Rohatgi took to Instagram Stories and wrote, "Sajid Khan has done wrong with 6 women as they narrated publicly. He has been reprimanded by all and publicly humiliated for his actions."
"Now, the 6 women can take him to court. But let me put it on record when even murderers have been given the right to reform by the values of Mahatma Gandhi then here even Sajid Khan has the right to live. He has the right to earn money. He has the right to repent," she added.

Payal Rohatgi also took a dig at Mandana Karimi who also criticised Sajid Khan's participation in the reality show. Payal further said, "Let him fight for his right. You oppose him but don’t do the drama of quitting Bollywood.”

It is pertinent to mention that Mandana Karimi had said in her statements that Bollywood was no place to work as it doesn't respect women. To this, Payal said, “You should not stay in Iran too as women aren’t respected there either.”
Currently, Sajid Khan is locked inside the Bigg Boss 6 house and has been receiving mixed response from the audience.
