Aww! Hansal Mehta marries longtime partner Safeena Husain in 'impromptu' ceremony

Hansal Mehta wedding: Popular filmmaker Hansal Mehta announced on Instagram that he and his long-time partner Safeena Husain had 'decided to get married.' The director shared a slew of pictures from their 'impromptu' wedding ceremony. In the pictures, Hansal Mehta and his wife Safeena Husain can be seen holding the wedding documents along with their their family members.

“So after 17 years, two children, watching our sons growing up and chasing our respective dreams we decided to get hitched. As always in life this was also impromptu and unplanned. Our vows however were truthful and but for this little ceremony they would never have been said. Ultimately love prevails over all else. And it has…” wrote the director on his social media account.

Hansal and Safeena are on cloud nine as they get hitched after 17 years of togetherness. They can be seen holding the official documents of the wedding certificate.

In one of the pictures, Safeena can be seen carrying a placard in her hand which read as 'love'. Indeed it is sheer moment for Hansal and Safeena as they mark their new journey together as a 'married couple'.

As soon as Hansal Mehta shared the good news with everyone, several celebs and his fellow workers started pouring love and congratulatory messages for the newly weds.

From Rajkummar Rao to neha Dhupia, everyone wished the couple best wished and were also stunned to see the pictures.

Hansal Mehta has been working on a number of projects recently, including a film with Kareena Kapoor named Kham, the online series Scam 2003: The Telgi Story, a new Netflix series called Scoop, and the Kartik Aaryan-starrer Captain India.
