Alka Yagnik becomes World's most streamed singer on YouTube

Alka Yagnik, a singer, is undoubtedly one of those people whose names are familiar to everyone. She has lent her voice to songs in every genre, from dance music to love ballads. Playback singer Alka Yagnik has surpassed well-known worldwide singers like BTS and Taylor Swift to become the most streamed artist on YouTube, marking a significant victory for the Indian music industry.

With a career spanning more than three decades, Yagnik has won over music fans worldwide with her beautiful voice and melodic interpretations of popular Bollywood tunes.

Alka Yagnik was the most streamed musician on YouTube globally in 2022, according to the Guinness World Book of Records. She earned 42 million streams each day last year, or 15.3 billion streams overall. She outperformed Bad Bunny (Puerto Rico), who earned 14.7 million streams. Not only that, but the Bollywood singer also had the most streams in 2021 and 2020, with 17.7 billion and 16.6 billion, respectively.

Additionally, according to the sources, Alka surpassed musical heavyweights BTS and BLACKPINK, who had 7.95 billion and 7.03 billion streams, respectively, to take the top spot on the list.

She has received a great deal of recognition for her contribution to Indian music, including the National Film Award for Best Female Playback Singer. Alka Yagnik and the Indian music industry have accomplished tremendous achievements with this. This demonstrates that Indian music has enormous potential and can appeal to a global audience. This demonstrates the effectiveness of streaming services in opening up music to a global audience.
