After Kerala, Now Khalsa Aid Workers Helping People In Typhoon-Hit Philippines

Khalsa Aid International, the UK based philanthropist group, has now extending their helping hands to typhoon affected people in Philippines.

More than 100 people were killed after super typhoon Mangkhut barreled the island nation last week.

According to the reports, several houses, farms, buildings and government infrastructure, including power lines and communications towers, were destroyed after typhoon Mangkhut devastated northern Philippines with wind speeds up to 175 miles per hour.

Following the calamity, Khalsa Aid workers reached Philippines to help the people affected by typhoon Mangkhut.

They distributed tarpaulin sheets and other emergency shelter materials to the needy in the remote village of Asassi, Bagao Cagayan.

Besides, they also distributed stationary kits which included folders/notepads/pens/pencils/ colouring pencils and erasers to the children at Adaoag elementary school in Baggao, Cagayan.

Over the past 20 years, Khalsa Aid has been at the forefront of several relief operations.

Earlier, they helped people in flood-hit Kerala by providing them food items, medicines and other emergency materials.
