Aashiqui 3: Anurag Basu and team issue statement on female lead opposite Kartik Aaryan

Aashiqui 3: Kartik Aaryan delighted his fans with the special announcement of his film 'Aashiqui 3'. The actor confirmed the news by sharing a motion poster on September 5. The film is being helmed by Anurag Basu, which also marks the first collaboration of Kartik Aaryan and Anurag Basu.

Ever since the announcement was made, the speculations about the film's female lead started making rounds on social media. As per the reports, it was said that Jennifer Winget might star opposite Kartik Aaryan.

However, the team has now issued a statement about the casting of the leading lady in the film 'Aashiqui 3'. It reads, "The search for a leading lady is still ongoing... We would love to share the news with fans as early as possible "

While sharing the announcement of the film, Kartik Aaryan wrote, "Ab Tere Bin Ji Lenge Hum/ Zeher Zindagi Ka Pi Lenge Hum #Aashiqui3. This one is going to be heart-wrenching!! My First with Basu Da.”

To note, 'Aashiqui 3' is the third installment of the classic cult 'Aashiqui' which was first released in 1990 and starred Rahul Roy and Anu Aggarwal. The film was helmed by Mahesh Bhatt then which was a massive hit.

Later in 2013, director Mohit Suri brought the same magical love story with a fresh concept and the film featured Aditya Roy Kapur and Shraddha Kapoor.

Now, as the third installment is in the works, fans are excited to witness Kartik Aaryan in the love saga.
