AKSHAY KUMAR TO PLAY LEAD ROLE IN 'KESARI', FILM BASED ON THE BATTLE OF SARAGARHI
It is nothing less than a surprise that no filmmaker, either in Pollywood or in Bollywood ever struck the idea of making a film on epic battle of Saragarhi. The extraordinary tale of bravery that witnessed a fierce face-off between 21 Sikhs of British Indian Army Contingent and 10,000 Afghans during the Tirah Campaign set and example of incredible tale of valor which makes it a perfect material for a film.
Well, now the viewers will actually be able to see the simulation of this epic battle in a Bollywood film titled, ‘Kesari’ which will star Akshay Kumar (who is also producing it in collaboration with Karan Johar) in the lead role.
Earlier there were reports of Ajay Devgn also making a film on the same subject and the actor reportedly even requested his friend Salman Khan not to back any project on the topic. But now after all the hue and cry, one thing is for sure that Akshay Kumar and Karan Johar are very much keen on making a film on this subject which is expected to release in Holi 2018.
